Edward L. Tyson
Age 57 of Dayton, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at his residence.
He was born June 19, 1953 in Toledo, OH, son of Henry and Mary Jane (Mitchell) Tyson.
Edward worked 30 years for Lucas County Engineering and retired as County Road Maintenance Supervisor of Toledo, Ohio. He was a well known Musician and member of the Dayton Blues Society. He was honored when chosen to play in the 2009 Dayton Blues Fest. Throughout his life, he played with numerous bands in Toledo and Dayton and was known as one of the best guitarist in the area. What he felt he transformed into music. He played his passions with his notes and chords, and his life is in his lyrics.
He is survived by his parents Henry and Mary Jane Tyson of Dayton, OH; Sister, Lisa Tyson of Columbus, OH; Brothers, Henry (Annie) Tyson of Macon, GA, Jose Tyson and Steve (Nicole) of Dayton, OH; Niece, Olivia Tyson and Nephew, Ryan Zachary Howe of Dayton, OH; a host of relatives, friends and a special friend DD Walker.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, March 4 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 5 at Newcomer with interment in West Memorial Gardens.
