LTC Edward G Huber, Sr. (USAF Ret.) of Fairborn, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019, in Hospice Care of Dayton at 82 years of age.

Edward G Huber was born to his parents Gustav Huber and Wilma Skledar-Huber in Pittsburgh, PA on June 14, 1936.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents Gustav & Wilma Huber.

Edward is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann Huber; 4 daughters Maureen Riggs (husband David) of San Antonino, TX; Sharon Williams (husband Paul) of Panama Beach, FL; Kathy Gros (husband James) of Lake Orion, MI; and Dianne Smith (husband John) of Fairborn, Ohio; son Edward G Huber Jr. of Oakwood, Ohio; 17 adult grandchildren; Josh Riggs, Matt Riggs, Tony Riggs, Melissa Chasser, Kevin Turkoglu, Sarah Casey, Daniel Turkoglu, Lisa Davison, Aaron Huber, Rachel Haney, Amy Dillon, Evan Gros, Adam Gros, Ethan Gros, Rebecca Smith, Caleb Smith and Isaac Smith. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

Edward graduated from Westview High school in 1954 and went on to graduate from Purdue University in 1958.

Edward was married to his High school sweetheart, Mary Ann on June 11, 1958 in their home town. After moving to Hollywood, CA for Ed's job as an Aeronautical Engineer for Lockeed Co. they quickly started a family. Edward then entered the United States Air Force in 1959 and actively served in the Vietnam War. Edward G Huber became a Lt. Colonel in the USAF in 1974 while he was stationed at Wright Patterson AFB.

He retired in 1979 from the Air Force but continued serving for the military as a USAF contractor for 20 years. After retirement, Edward has since lived in Fairborn, Ohio, in which he spent his time volunteering at the Wright Patt Pharmacy, Wright Patt Accounting/Taxes Unit, and Parkwood Elementary in Beavercreek.

He also served in many positions for his Church and was President of Full Gospel Businessman. He attended Rona Hills Community Church and visited inmates at the Greene County Jail to encourage and pray with them. Edward was an extraordinary, loving and Godly man –husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was welcomed into the gates of heaven to be with his heavenly Father. He will be greatly missed.

There will be a memorial service held to remember and ultimately celebrate Edward G. Huber's influential life. Please join his family and friends at Rona Community Church on Sunday March 10, 2019. The visitation will be from 2:30-4:00 pm followed by the memorial service at 4:00 pm.
