Edward Hanneken

Edward James "E.J." Hanneken, age 66 of Dayton, passed away December 1, 2013. He was born March 10, 1947 in Dayton to the late Louis and Bernice Hanneken. In addition to his parents E.J. was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law: Evalyn and Jack Moore; brother and sister-in-law: Louis and Ilene Hanneken.

E.J. is survived by his son, Eric James Hanneken; former wife, Patricia Mish Walsh; sisters: Carol (Horst) Daniels and Mary (Bob) Dennis; brothers: Tom, John and Steve (Cindy) Hanneken; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of close friends and loved ones.

E.J. was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Vietnam War. He retired from the Navy after many years of service. He enjoyed all sports, especially golfing, fishing and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
