EARLEY, Edward John, age 90, of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was a WWII veteran and a graduate of St. John's High School, Wyoming Seminary, and Syracuse University. In 2003 he was inducted into the Luzerne County Sports Hall of Fame. He worked in sales and marketing at NCR. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Earley in 1994. He is survived by his daughters, Claire Earley and Alice (Ben) Pace; grandson, Matt (Joanna) Pace, and the lights of his life, his twin grandchildren, Mark and Montgomery Pace; brother, Jack (Bernie) Earley; nephew, Michael (Suzanne) Earley; nieces, Kathy (Tim) Wine, Anne Earley, Eileen Earley (God Daughter); great-niece, Erin Earley; and Mary Elinore Toole (God Daughter); and he will be missed by his friend of many years, Helen Miltner. Ed never knew a stranger and will be missed by everyone who ever came in contact with him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday, September 14, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi, 6245 Wilmington Pike in Centerville. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the time of service.
