Dodds, Edward L., Sr. age 83, of Bellbrook, passed away November 22, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born May 29, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Royal and Linnie (Jackson) Dodds.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David I Dodds in 2012.
Edward was a registered architect doing plans exams for the cities of Moraine and West Carrollton. He was self-employed and participated in many projects. Edward was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth (Price) Dodds; son, Edward L.Dodds, Jr; daughter, Cynthia L. Queary; grandchildren, David Edward (Michelle) Dodds, Janna Lynne (Brock) Queary, Robert Clarence (Ashley) Queary; great grandchildren, Christopher, Haylie, Kylie, Chloe, Rylee, Jackson and Kinzlee; adopted daughter, Kerry Kiger and adopted great-granddaughter Macee Hale; brother-in-law Ronnie (Cindy) King; special friend Dennis L. Queary; and his dog Molly as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel with interment to follow in Bellbrook Cemetery. Edward's family will greet friends from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.
