SHUNK, Edna R. (Wilker), 83, of Dayton passed away Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Heartland of Kettering. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Wilhelmina Wilker; husband Charles E. Shunk; daughter Shirley I. Evemy; son-in-law Alan F. Evemy; brothers Sylvester and Raymond Wilker; sister-in-law Julianne Wilker; sister Loretta Connors; brother-in-law Bud Connors; brother-in-law Lee Klosterman; great granddaughter Catherine; nephews Terry Wilker and Gary Dorsten; and close freind Catherine Crowell. Edna is survived by her daughter Linda Crowell; 9 grandchildren Sarah, Cathy, and Nick Crowell, Sylvia (Tim) Stein, William (Cheryl),Becky, Jenny, Rob, and Samantha Evemy; 8 great grandchildren Shannon, Pam, Rodney, and Melissa Crowell, Christine, Andrew, and Matthew Stein, and Madison Evemy, 1 great great grandson Pablo Jr.; brother Clete (Clara) Wilker; 2 sisters Ethel Klosterman and Mary Ann (Adolph) Dorsten; sister-in-law Dorothy Wilker; and many other family and friends. She was retired from Alta Nursing Home after 17 years and a member of the womens VFW Post #657. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00AM Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Emmanuel Catholic Chuch, 149 Franklin St. Family will receive friends from 5:00PM- 8:00PM Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd.
