Edna M. Markland

Edna Mae Markland, age 85, of Kettering passed away on July 11, 2024. She was born in Richmond, Kentucky on November 11, 1938 to the late William and Sarah Pennington. In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; children, Christal Markland, Clifford Markland and siblings, Martha Younker, Richard Pennington and Frank "Sonny" Pennington.

She is survived by her children, Cindy (Keith) Dueer, Blaine Markland; grandchildren, Andrea (Chris) Sutter, Joyce (Brad) Raymore, Casey Markland, Alex Markland, Joseph Markland, Brian Markland, Kenzie Markland; great-grandchildren, James Raymore, Gracie Sutter, Mackenzie Raymore and siblings, Louise (Cecil) Smith, Wilma (Joe) Wallace, Cathy Blake, Ronnie (Carol) Pennington and Ilene Stamper; along with many other family and friends.

Edna was a member of Bethel Christian Assembly of God and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a homemaker for most of her life and truly enjoyed being a grandmother. Edna is at peace in the Presence of God. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family and friends will gather from 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024 and a service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens in Springboro. Pastor Ryan Little to officiate.
