Horner, Edna E. passed away on September 11, 2009, she was 93 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Horner and son: Tony Cox. Edna is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Peggy (Charles) Pillion & Lillian Newton; six grandchildren: Valencia Pillion, Bruce Pillion, Timothy Pillion, Michael Pillion, Dena Pierre, James Newton Jr.; great grandchildren: Rachel, Hannah, Luke & Matthew Pillion; and special friend: Clayton Fields. She was an employee at Elder Beerman for 28 years. She loved her house and lived alone until she was 90. She was at Walnut Creek Nursing Home for 3 years. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Walnut Creek for all of the loving care you gave Mother. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd. with Pastor Terrell Hudson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of services.
