Edna Louise (Shoecraft) Calloway was born September 26, 1923 and received her heavenly wings on October 15, 2019.
Edna graduated from East High School and married Paul H. Calloway on January 19, 1946.
Edna retired from Yellow Springs Instrument in 1985. During her early years, she was employed by Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the Greene County Jail.
She was a member of the Third Baptist Church for 41 years before joining the Middle Run Baptist Church Congregation. Edna was a devout Christian. She had a strong passion/desire to assist the sick by providing daily physical support to those experiencing terminal illness. She also conducted missionary work by visiting nursing home residents. Even when she was in her nineties, Edna kept in touch with many friends via telephone and cards.
Edna's interests included fishing, bowling, crocheting, and eating great food. She was a member of Xenia Senior Citizens. She sang in the church choir; her favorite songs were "He's done so much for me, I just can't tell it all" and "The Lord is Blessing me."
She is pre-deceased by her husband, Paul Calloway on December 26, 2007. Son, James Calloway, June 1, 1971 and granddaughter, Malinda Calloway, December 1968.
Survivors include Patricia Sithole and her daughter, Nandi Butler and husband Terrence, their children, Royce and Miles; son, Paul D. Calloway, his wife, Edith and their children, Paul D. Jr. and Stacy, their children, Jacqui, Micayla, Erica and Paul III; son, James and his wife, Crystal, his children, Celina, Vanessa and James Jr. and foster grandson, Douglas Glass; daughter, Paula Guest and her husband, Darrell, her daughter, Keisha and her children, Genyus, Brittney and Sydney; sons, Alex and Alfred and his wife Donique; nieces, Anita Estrada and her husband, Domingo and Renee Newsome.
Edna was a caring and nurturing parent/grandparent, and a friend and mother figure to many. People love(d) her and she definitely demonstrated love in return! She was cheerful and full of laughter and joy, which was uplifting to those in her presence.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with family present from 12:00 pm till time of service at Middle Run Baptist Church, 1000 E. Church St, Xenia, Ohio 45385 followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm. Edna will be laid to rest next to her husband, Paul Calloway at Cherry Grove Cemetery, 10198 W. 2nd St., Xenia, Ohio 45385.
