Edith May Wigginton, born January 12, 1926 in Paris, Ky. went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 4, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Wigginton of Hillsboro, Ohio; her parents, Steward and Nannie Norman and four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two brothers, Stewart and Betty Norman of Middletown, OH and Richard and Pauline Norman of Springboro, OH; her daughter, Betty and Bob Miller; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Scott Stout, and Amber and Sam McCoy; and six great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Kimberly, Lauran, Colin, Marissa, Madison. She also has numerous nieces and nephews.
She was beloved by numerous church members, co-workers and care-takers. Edith worked over 35 years for Liberal Markets in Dayton, over 15 years for Bob & Carl's in Hillsboro and then finished her career at Great Scot in Hillsboro. Although she was a hard worker, her focus in life was always family and then church. Edith was an excellent cook who's greatest joy was to feed large meals to her family and anyone who would come visit. She was a quiet woman but loved to sit and visit with family and listen to other people. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2-3:00 pm, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm also at the funeral home.
Burial will take place later at the convenience of the family.
