Edith Mae Blair

Edith Mae Blair, age 84, passed away Saturday morning, August 16, 2014 at Heartland of Beavercreek, OH. She was born August 24, 1929 in Tipton County, Indiana to Phillip and Halcie Small. She moved to and was raised in Fairmount, Indiana. She was a 1947 graduate of Fairmount HS. She has lived in Beavercreek, OH since 1966.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, cross word puzzles, reading, sewing, baking and loved playing euchre. She was a loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grand Mother. She was widowed after 33 years of marriage to Earl Blair in 1999.
Survivors include her two sons, Larry Blair of New Paris, OH, Michael (Brenda) Blair of Beavercreek, OH. Special daughter-in-law and friend, Beth Blair of Bellbrook, OH. Two sisters, Imogene Miller of Fairmount, IN and Carol DeLong of Carmel, IN. Two brothers Bill Small of Brownsburg, IN and John (Carol) Small of Fairmount, IN. Five grandchildren Courtney Blair (fiancé Casey Newton) of Nashville, TN, Shawn Blair of New Paris, OH, Tyler (Elizabeth) Blair of New Paris, OH, Jessica Blair of Beavercreek, OH and Justin Blair of Beavercreek, OH. Three Great Grandchildren Ethan and Evan Snyder of Nashville, TN and Rhylee Cramer of Beavercreek, OH. Special friends Jason and McKenzy Cramer of Beavercreek, OH and Lisa Earles of New Paris, OH. Several Nieces and Nephews and several Great Nieces and Nephews. Including her parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Cleo Sink, Gladys Cottingham, Lola Nelson and Marilyn Summitt.
Services will be Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the Fairmount Baptist Church in Fairmount, Indiana. Public visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the church also on August 23, 2014. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, Indiana. Pastor Jerry DeHart will officiate.
