Edith L. Lindsay

LINDSAY, Edith L., age 94, of Dayton, passed away at 1:00 am Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Widows Home of Dayton, Ohio. She was born January 22, 1919 in Miami County to the late Harry and Sophia Ellen (Stockslager) Vore. Edith is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Samuel Towe of Brookville; one grandson, Benjamin Towe; one great-grandson, Micah; three step-grandchildren and eleven step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, two brothers, Emerson and Kenneth Vore; two sisters, Bessie Ingle and Keitha Macy. Edith retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, was a 1936 graduate of Bethel Township High School, and was a member of the Avon Golden Slipper Club, National Order Daughters of America, and the Huber Heights Senior Center. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery.
