HACKNEY, Edith P. "Jackie"
age 77, a resident of Georgetown, TN, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Duff Hackney Sr. along with a sister, Eva Hawkins and her parents, Timothy and Mary Murray. She was a member of Burdette Baptist Church. She is survived by: her son, Duff Hackney Jr. of Georgetown; daughters, Twila Hackney-Hatton of Georgetown, Jackie Priser and her husband Byron of West Carrollton, Ohio; three granddaughters, Shelly, Mandi and Kari; one great-granddaughter, Haylee; one brother, James Lewis Murray and his wife Maggie of Birchwood; two sisters, Ida Mae Walden of Georgetown and Lenore Conrad and her husband Bob of Birchwood; a dear brother-in-law, Tom Hawkins of Baltimore, MD; sister-in-law, Daisy Hackney of Dayton, Ohio and numerous other loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Burdette Baptist Church. The family will also receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Grace Baptist Church, 2901 Galewood Street, Kettering, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the church in Kettering with Pastor Robert Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in Bearcreek Cemetery in Dayton.
