Edith Bonavee (Bonnie) Fike, daughter of Glenn Adison Schrock and Silvia May Grabill Schrock passed away on the 2nd of November at Hospice of Dayton after a prolonged battle with cancer.

She was born the 23rd of March, 1924 in a sod house in Selden, KS. Bonnie follows her husband Robert Vernon Fike and children, Linda Kaye and Mark, into the next great adventure.

She is survived by sisters: Maureen Yeager and Vinita Buettgenbach, brother: Phil (Marilyn) Schrock, children: Glen Paul Fike (Kimberly), Kayla Rae Reed (Richard) and James Terry Fike, grandchildren: Carrie Fike, Christopher Reed (Beth), Jeremiah Fike (Nancy), Melissa Moore, Lisa Madrid, Craig Fike, and Elizabeth Still and numerous great grandchildren.

Remembered as a dedicated and supportive wife and mother, Bonnie's life transformed many times as her husband's calling evolved from student to military chaplain to Baptist minister to psychologist and finally to retirement. She made homes in Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Japan, California, and Ohio. She always appreciated and cultivated beauty in her surroundings and herself. She was an expert pie maker. She and Bob loved each other and they loved to dance. She always enjoyed hummingbirds, flowers, and the color pink.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
