Edith "Lorraine" Gentry Berry, age 91, of Xenia, passed away on August 27, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Jesse and Lottie Gentry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jesse Berry; grandsons, Timothy Ray Berry and David Wayne Simmons; and granddaughter, Tracy Ann LaFollette.
Lorraine is survived by her loving daughters, Faye Donohoo, Eva "Nell" Short, Patricia LaFollette and Jessie "Cricky" Jacobs; her loving sons, Jerry Berry and David Berry; 12 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Charles "Sonny" Gentry and Thomas "Buddy" Gentry; and many other loving family and friends.
In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, bowling, watching Action movies, taking trips to Disney World and spending time with her family at her home. Lorraine was always there for her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
