Edith Kay Barnett, age 87, of Dayton, passed away on February 15, 2022. She was born in Jackson, Kentucky, on January 17, 1935, the daughter of the late Herbert and Laura Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 37 years, Glenn Barnett; son, Larry Barnett; grandson, Dustin Frary; great granddaughter, Brittany Cooper; and her siblings, Joyce Gross, Junior Martin, George Martin and James Martin.
Edith is survived by her loving children, Darrell (Brenda) Barnett, Rita (Randy) Frary, David (Lori) Barnett and Katrina Barnett; grandchildren, Stephanie, Amy, Brad, Justin, Kayla, Brett, Morgan and Macie; great grandchildren, Skylar, Waylon, Jade, Cambrie, Abby, Brianna, Molly, Kendra, Bryan, Samantha and Dawson; great great grandchildren, Brantley and Damon; sisters, Icy Mae Wright, Genevieve Smith and Addie Henry; and many other loving family and friends.
In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, reading her Bible and quilting. She was devoted to her family and was always there for those she loved. She was a very godly woman and her faith was something she held very dear. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am, with Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
