December 25, 1928 — July 8, 2012
Edgar Penix, age 83, of Kettering, OH, passed away on Sunday July 8, 2012.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Bessie Penix; and siblings, Virgie Shively, James, Lee, Dimple, and William Allen Penix.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Edna Marie Penix; sons, Edgar (Tracy) Penix Jr. and Steve (Martha) Penix; grandchildren, Jason, Trina, Danielle, Justin, Emily, and Sarah; great grandchildren, Caleb, Jayden, and Elijah; siblings, Bonnie Collins and Burns Offutt Penix, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A special thank you to the nurses on the 6th Floors at Miami Valley Hospital and at Hospice of Dayton.
Ed worked and retired from Delco Air after 32 years.
Visitation is Thursday July 12, 2012 from 12:30pm to 2pm with funeral service starting at 2pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
Interment is in Valley View Memory Gardens, Xenia, OH.
