Edgar D. Hartigan

HARTIGAN, Edgar, 72 left this earth November 16, 2012. He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra C. Hartigan, his parents William Davis and Elaine Hartigan, brother Frank Hartigan. Survivors include: 1 daughter Deborah Kreil, 1 son David Hartigan (Melissa): 3 grandchildren Jennifer Kreil, Taylor & Morgan Hartigan, 1 great grandson Donovan Vinson; 2 sisters Jane Steiner; Sharon Mozingo, 2 brothers Mark & John Hartigan, as well as a host of other family and friends. Ed was born in Charleston, WV and came to Dayton years later. Most people around town called him Grandpa; he will be greatly missed. He was an entrepreneurial/inventor at heart and touched the lives of many people over the years. Funeral services will be 3 pm Saturday November 24, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Family will receive visitors from 1-3 pm until time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to the American Heart Association.
