Edgar Russell Allen

Edgar Russell Allen, age 85, of Medway, Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on November 2, 2022. He was born on May 4, 1937 in Wayland, Kentucky to the late Troy and Eva Allen. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his siblings: Ray, of Mansfield, Ohio, James, of Fairborn, Ohio, Clarence, of Sedalia, Missouri, Richard, of Matteri, Louisiana, and Shirley Combs of Fairborn, Ohio.

Russell is survived by his wife, Janice Faye Allen, of Medway, Ohio; his sons: Gerald (Debbie) Allen, of Hazard, Kentucky, and Jason Allen, of Medway, Ohio; grandchildren: Nathan (Kerry) Allen, of Ashland, Kentucky, Jessica (Roy) Riley, of Hazard, Kentucky, and Amanda (Michael) Johnson, of Hazard, Kentucky; seven great grandchildren: Amelia, Oliver, Evelyn, Emery, Emmett, Allen, and Victoria; sister: Bonnie Ary, of Spring Hill, Florida; very special niece: Christina Ramsey, Hillboro, Ohio; his church family from Park Layne First Church of God, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Russell's name to Hospice of Dayton.

A celebration of life will be held at Park Layne First Church of God on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
