Edward "Eddie" Smith, age 78, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. He was born June 25, 1944, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to the late Edward Smith and Venteria Smith.
He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy on June 11, 1965.
Eddie was the most patient, easy-going, loyal, generous, funny man and loved by everyone. He adored his wife and would do anything in the world for her. The love he had for his wife, kids and family was beyond unconditional. He enjoyed singing, especially the Blues and had an amazing talent for painting.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Phyllis Schnitzius and brother-in-law Dallas Schnitzius.
Eddie leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda Smith; daughters, Margo Smith-Lane and Gary, Paige Smith-Young and Tim, Christa Estes-Smith and Angelia Estes ; grandchildren, ;Halee, Tyler, Tessa, Noah, Kylee, Emma, Kevin and Eden great-grandchildren, Maisy Sue, Hunter and Aria ;; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held Sunday September 18, 2022 at 12 noon. Location-Moose Lodge 2110 E Central Ave. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342.
