Eddie Ballew

Eddie D. Ballew, age 61 of Dayton, passed away July 10, 2011. He was born December 8, 1949 in Lake City, TN to the late James Ballew and Imogene Edwards. Eddie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Grace Miller; and sister, Patricia Ford.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Melinda Ballew; children: Terry (Cindy) Ballew, Michelle (Tom) Miller and Chris (Denise) Ballew; 6 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Mike Edwards and Steve Edwards; 2 sisters: Judy Lawson and Patricia Edwards; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Eddie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy; was a member of the Painters Local # 249; and loved fishing and BINGO.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424, where the United States Navy will perform military honors at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
