Edward A. Ling, Jr., age 57 of Dayton, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. He was born August 3, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Edward and Virginia Ling.
Ed was currently employed with White-Allen Chevrolet. Ed's passion was for music. He had a glorious singing voice and was also a musician playing the drums, keyboards and guitar. Ed was the lead singer in the band, Shekinah with Ginny and Teresa.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his son, Edward Allen Ling, III and his sister, Pam Ling; sisters-in-law, Sharlene, Dori and brother-in-law, Rodney. Ed will be missed by his loving wife of 39 years, Ginny; daughter, Mandi (Kris) Denlinger; grandchildren, Tessa, Brianna and Wyatt; sisters, Bonnie (Jim) St. Pierre, Linda Pierce and Doreen Kaminski; sisters-in-law, Carol (Mike) Hall, Teresa (Phillip) Hoskins and Jackie (Rudy) Campolo; brother-in-law, Cary (Blanche) Thomas; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Faith Christian Fellowship Church, 1778 Grange Hall Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio, Pastor Rande Greene, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
