Earl White, Sr., age 78 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Grandview Hospital. He was born August 31, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio.
Earl was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a generous man who took care of his family.
He served in the U.S. Army as a radar technician stationed mainly in Greenland. He retired from General Motors as an electrician after 30 years.
One of his hobbies was to put up Christmas lights on the house and the yard that were synchronized with music to a local radio channel. He loved to visit Las Vegas to gamble and watch the shows. His favorite foods were cabbage rolls, potato pancakes and cannolis and he liked his Cadillacs. He also liked electronics and playing Texas HoldEm on his IPad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte and Steve White; grandson, Dylan Michael White; and uncle John Bikowski.
Earl will be missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Genevieve; son, Earl G. White Jr.; daughter, Vivian A. White; grandchildren, Matthew Gordon and Cheyenne Weisgarber; Kay (Jim) Shields, Shirley Kaempf; brother-in-law, Fred Burns; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2019. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery.
