Earl Short

SHORT, Earl V., age 69, of West Carrollton, passed away Tues., Aug. 9, 2005 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents William & Venus, 2 brothers Edward and Kenneth and 1 sister Kathryn. Earl is survived by his wife Bertha; 1 son William E. Short; 1 daughter Joy L. Levett; 2 step-daughters Gena Berkshire and Veronica Wells; 4 grandchildren Brandon, Tyler, Ethan and Ann; 2 brothers Hershell and Virgil Short; 3 sisters Ruth Miller, Treva Adams and Helen Alty and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from Celotex, Cincinnati, after 40 years of service, was currently working at Securitas and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force with service during the Korean War. Funeral services 11 A.M., Mon., Aug. 15, 2005 at Potter Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Rev. Jimmy Adkins officiating. Interment to follow at Howard Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday for 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Local visitation will be Saturday Aug. 13 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Memorial contributions, if so desired, may be given to the Diabetes Foundation in Earl's memory.
