Earl Hensley, 85, passed away on July 8, 2019 at Embassy Garden Court in Trotwood, Ohio.
Earl was born November 16, 1934 in Hazard (Perry County) Kentucky; he was the son of John and Carrie (Hamilton) Hensley. He was raised in Perry County, then moved to Ohio where he spent most of his life. He retired from Delco Moraine in Dayton after 25+ years of service and was a proud Kentucky Colonel.
Earl loved his family and was the historian, remembering dates and events with fine detail up through his final days. He was a storyteller…he could educate everyone about the family tree, workplace, government and politics. He loved to talk and recall the past adventures of him, his brother, cousins and friends. He lived a colorful life, but he always loved his family. Earl came to know Jesus Christ as his savior with forgiveness for his past. He was looking forward to meeting again with those who had passed before him.
He is survived by his cousins and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Clifford Hensley; and long-time partner, Lois.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 N. Valley Rd., Xenia, OH 45385.
