Earl Bowling, Sr.
Age 76, of Dayton passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 as the result of an auto accident.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Sim & Fannie Bowling; one son, J. D. Bowling; one grand daughter, Amanda Hussong; two brothers, Arlie and Doug Bowling; and by one daughter-in-law, Kimberly Bowling.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jessie (Combs) Bowling; one son, Earl Jr. & his wife, Dianna Bowling; 12 grandchildren, Andrew (Amber), Dustin, James, Nikki, John, Rebecca, Joey, Carissa, Brittany, Adam, Haley, Josh & Tory; five great grandchildren, Anthony, Jordyn, Mackenzie, Kimberly & Christopher; three brothers, Giles (Julianne), Bill (Shirley) & Gary (Claire) Bowling; four sisters, Shirley Rose, Faye (Arthur) Vaughn, Mary Baker and Judy (Jerry) Campbell; his extended family and many close friends, including Vernon Combs, Mickey Jones and Vince Combs.
Earl was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a Kentucky Colonel; member of the Masonic lodge; the VFW; and the OKI Bluegrass Association.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Valley View Memory Gardens.
