Earl A. Shoemaker

Shoemaker, Earl A., age 89, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susanne (Fries); daughters, Linda Graham (Knoop) and Kim (Rob) Bertke; sons, Ron (Debra) Irwin and Steve Shoemaker; 10 grandchildren, Mindy (Bill) Menker, Zack and Josh Knoop, Matt and Jessica Irwin, Samantha and Katrina Shoemaker, Alex, Amanda, and Allison Bertke; 2 great grandchildren, Emily and Justin Menker and many other close family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Alice Shoemaker; brother, Don (Harold) Seelig; special uncle and aunt, Bill and Garn Seelig. Earl never met a stranger, was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Private Family Memorial Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton., Ohio with the family gathering 1 hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Earl's name may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
