Melvin Dwight Quillen, age 71, of Miami Township, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Sycamore Hospital.
He was born on October 18, 1944 to Willard Mack and Emma Bernice (nee Hall) Quillen.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jean Donegia and brothers Herschel, Ray, White, Herman, Wendell, and Don Quillen. He is also preceded by two great grandsons, Ariyen and Ayce Phillips as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dwight is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Louise (Livesay) Quillen and three adoring daughters Pam (Quillen)Otto, Vickie (Carl) Hannah, Nicole (David) Quinn. His loss is also felt by his much favored grandchildren, Kelsey Hannah (Jesse Phillips), Mikey (Lacie) Otto, Kailey Hannah, Jaxon Quinn, Holdyn Quinn, Julian Otto and Atticus Phillips. He is also survived by his brother Willard Quillen and brother in law Pete Donegia, as well as many special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance Rd., Moraine, OH, 45439. Funeral services will take place the following morning on Wednesday August 17, 2016 at 11:00am, also at the Miami Shores Baptist Church. Interment will take place immediately following services at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dwight's memory to Miami Shores Baptist Church or The Tears Foundation-Ohio Chapter.
