Duteil Ward, age 81, of Xenia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 3, 2022. He was born in Arcoverde Pernambuco, Brazil, on July 21, 1941, the son of the late Horace and Carolyn Ward, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 55 years, Norine Ward; and brothers, Horace Ward, Jr. and James Ward.
Duteil is survived by his sons, Bill (Tammy) Ward and Ron (Connie) Ward, grandchildren, Ashley (Jacob) White, Nathan (Kristen) Ward, Joshua (Haruka) Ward and Rebekah (Joshua) Radford; great grandchildren, Landen, Sadie, Halle, Henry, Hanalee and Haizleigh; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Ward, Joyce Ward and Nancy Lyons; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was born in Brazil, part of a Missionary family. In his free time, he enjoyed singing with his brothers, directing the choir, and singing with his Quartet (The Singing Envoys). Duteil had an ability to create a song from any word spoken. He adored his family, crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and cooking. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11:00am, at the Life House Church, 1190 Richfield Plaza, Beavercreek. The family will receive family and friends from 10:30am until the time of the service at the Church.
