Dudley Cameron Holbrook, 96, of Dayton, passed away November 24, 2017. Dudley was born in Louisa, Kentucky on March 31, 1921 to the late Cornelius and May Holbrook. Dudley retired from NCR after 28 years of service. He then worked for Dayton Metropolitan Housing as a maintenance supervisor and retired from there after 12 years of service. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy during WWII. He also served as the Veteran's Commissioner for Montgomery County for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post 675, VFW Post 2800, Am Vets Post 61, Eagles # 1163, Masonic Lodge # 779, 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite, Kentucky Colonel and Mariner/Marlin Seaplane Association.
In addition to his parents, Dudley was preceded in death by his siblings, James Holbrook, Marlene Frank, Freda, Sue, Phyllis, Jim Holbrook, and Willis Holbrook.
He is survived by his son, Doug (Paula) Hardy; daughter, Donna Holbrook; grandsons, Donovan Holbrook, Charles Hardy, Adam Hardy; great grandchild, Logan Holbrook; sister in law, Judy; brother in law; Otto Mitterholser; and soulmate, Freda Millis.
A graveside service is pending at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel.
