Duain J. Hawkins

HAWKINS Sr., Duain J. "Whitey", age 78. He was born on August 9, 1933 in Piqua, OH, to the parents of Everett and Edna Hawkins.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruby Hellard Hawkins. He was a retired meat cutter from Liberal Markets. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. His children include, Duain (Ruth) John Hawkins Jr., Dale Hawkins, Vickie (Rob) King, Eydie Jo (Danny) Dutton, Tina (Todd) Willis, Jacqueline (Rod) Kurtz and Martin (Tamara) Hawkins; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. He was one of nine children. His brothers include, Leonard, Leo and Richard Hawkins.
Preceding him in death are Everett, Roger and Kenny Hawkins; two sisters, Barbara Mullins and Charlotte Carroll.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
There will be a gathering of friends and family immediately following the funeral services at Celebrations II Banquet Center (7615 Poe Avenue).
