DruAnn Marie Miliner-Cherry-Breckenridge, age 79, of Englewood passed away peacefully with her two children by her side on November 3, 2023. She was born in Dayton on January 6, 1944 to the late Willie D. Miliner Sr. and Camille (Ollie) Smith. In addition to her parents, Druann is preceded in death by her ex-husband, Richard Breckenridge and brother, Willie D. Miliner Jr.
DruAnn is survived by her children, Kevin (Sonja) Cherry, Gayvonne (Daniel) Peoples; grandchildren, Ashley Byrd, Morgan Cherry, Aaron Byrd, Meghan Cherry, Knae Cherry, Ka'Lyn Cherry; siblings, Kathryn (Connie) Smith, Lawrence (Deidre) Miliner, Ronnie Miliner, Paulette (Harvey) Wortham; nephew, Shayne Smith; nieces, Dayna Farr, Tracie Welch; along with a host of great-grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews.
DruAnn attended Roth High School, where she received her diploma in 1962. After graduating from high school, she went on to be a military wife and traveled overseas. After her divorce, she returned to the United States with her two children and settled down in Dayton, Ohio. In 1982 she re-married, but divorced after 15 years.
She worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Bas as a contractor, along with many other jobs. DruAnn also attended seamstress school and made clothing. In her younger years, she had several hobbies that included bowling, which she would average 300 at almost all of her games. She was a great skater and did stage plays. She loved listening to all types of music, from country and western to gospel and R&B.
DruAnn loved being around her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all who cared, loved and adored her.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
