James C Hertel, M.D., age 96 passed away on April 26, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Irene.
He is survived by his daughter Kathe Lindner (Rolf) and son William Hertel (Cathy Lynn), three grandchildren Robert Lindner (Jessica), Christopher Hertel (Terri), Sara Russell, and six great grandchildren Bradley, Alison, Halligan and Axe Hertel, Stella Russell, and Norah Lindner.
He is also survived by special friend Wanda Scurlock.
A memorial service will be held at David's United Church of Christ, 170 West David Road, Kettering, OH on Saturday, May 14th at 11:00AM. Reverend Dr. Brian Q. Newcomb will officiate.
The Family will receive Friends one hour before the services with a reception after the services in the church Fellowship Hall.
Private interment service will be held at Reading Cemetery, Reading, Ohio.
In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to David's United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice.
