Douglas Lacey Williams Jr., age 66 of Leipsic, OH formerly of Xenia, OH was called Home on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He was born May 3, 1955 in Xenia, Ohio to Douglas Sr. and Louella (Shaw) Williams.
Doug is survived by his mother Louella Williams; two children, Rachel Williams and Robert Lee (Lori) Williams; five grandchildren, Michael (Cayla) Adams, Krista (Bryon) Hess, Jamie Schwartz, Parker Smith and Robert Smith; six great grandchildren, Elijah, Jackson, Thomas, Ella, Scarlet and Bennett; three brothers, Robert Williams, Deaon Williams and Joe (Carrie) Williams; seven sisters, Julie Williams, Valerie (Rick) Worley, Rosena Williams, Regina (Tom) Neff, Salina (Terry) Tamplin, Edie (James) Daniels and Mary (Reif) Roland; the children's Mom, Robin Haman; and other numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father; and two nephews, Shawn Williams and Chris Pardue.
Doug proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He loved many things, but most of all the Lord. Doug loved music and you could always find a guitar in his hand. He has wrote and published quite a few of his own songs and published a book as well. Doug loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will be follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, OH with full military honors.
