Douglas Vanderpool

Vanderpool, Douglas, age 76 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at the VA Medical Center, Dayton. He was born March 13, 1930 in Hazard, KY, the son of Fred & Della (Lane) Vanderpool. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and he retired from Inland Manufacturing in 1981. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandy. Survivors include his son, Larry (DeVonda) Vanderpool of Dayton; daughters, Connie Duhig of England & Gretchen Vanderpool of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amanda, Ambra, Matthew, & Bradley; and his sister, Betty Dugan of AZ. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, January 5, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
