Douglas S. Gudorf

GUDORF, Douglas age 47, passed away June 30, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilbert and Rosetta Gudorf, and maternal grandparents, Gearld and Norma Jones. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Angela (Zimmer); parents, Dale and Kathleen; sisters, Donna Gudorf (Jeff) and Diane Fath; special nieces and nephews, Brittany (Matt) Kazee, Hannah, Jake, and Seth; step-son, Dustin Zimmer; and many other dear family members and friends.

He was a graduate of Beavercreek High School class of '82 where he excelled at football and track. Doug was a construction worker but his greatest love was his music and working with the band "Dr. X". He will also be missed by his dogs, Rocco and Abbey. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Ohio State Hospital for their care and support.

A memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,2300 S. Smithville Rd. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to James's Cancer Research at Ohio State Hospital.
