BERGER, Douglas R., 63 of Moraine passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. He was owner of Excellent Maintenance & Repair, and a volunteer firefighter for almost 40 years, having served for the Washington Twp., Moraine, and Jefferson Twp. Fire Departments. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester R. Berger. Doug is survived by his wife, Charlotte; sons: Scott (Teresa) Berger and Darren Berger; daughters: Annette (Jason) Griffin, Heather (Mark) Wendling; 5 grandchildren; mother, Evelyn Berger; brother, Dennis (Virginia) Berger; mother- and father-in-law, Clifford & Mary Burns; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5-8:00PM Sunday, July 23rd at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd.). Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM Monday, July 24th at the funeral home, Pastor Mike Hout, officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug's name to the Lt. Berger Fire Fund, c/o Farmers & Merchants Bank, 41 S. First St., Miamisburg, OH 45342.
