He was born on December 7, 1939 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late Clarence Parsons & Della Miller.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Maxine Parsons, children, Billy (Bridget) Parsons and Bob Parsons; step-sons, Neil (Tonya) Huffman, John Huffman, Bob Huffman, Jeff (Debra) Huffman and Tim (Teresa) Huffman; grandchildren, Andrew Parsons, Erin Bell, Emily Parsons and Ashley Parsons; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Jordan Bell; brother, Jim Parsons; niece, Kathy Hammons; nephew, Robert Hammons; and many other relatives and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.
