Douglas A. Lewis "Doug", age 65, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 20, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents Alvin S. and Martha K. (Zumwald) Lewis, and two sisters Martha Lynch and Kathryn Shipley.
Doug is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen S. (Humerick) Lewis; two children Adam Lewis and Meredith (Isaac) Mannier; 5 grandchildren Savannah Mannier, Brookley Kate Lewis, Brady Lewis, Sawyer Mannier, and Hudson Mannier. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Doug was devoted to his faith and a longtime member and Elder of First Church of the Open Bible. He graduated from Fairmont East High School, Class of 1976. He went on to attend the University of Dayton where he earned a degree in Photo Journalism. Doug had a 35 year career in sales and service in the Home Healthcare industry. Throughout his life he kept his love and passion for photography. Doug worked as a photo journalist for the Dayton Daily News, a sports photographer for the University of Dayton, and loved photographing wildlife in the Dayton area. His hobby eventually lead him to develop Lewis Digital Imaging, specializing in professional video and photography. During the last several years of his life his love for building Legos was rekindled by his grandchildren.
The most important thing to Doug was his faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, followed by his love for his family. Doug is loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at First Church of the Open Bible, 4990 Old Troy Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45424. Funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Gary Peterson on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 10:30 am at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery 27 S. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45440.
