Douglas Robert Krey

Douglas Robert Krey, age 35 of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at home after a brief illness complicated by longstanding battle with diabetes. He was born July 29, 1987 in Point Pleasant , New Jersey the son of Daniel and Nancy Krey.

Doug graduated from Beavercreek High School in the class of 2006. He was an avid gamer and enjoyed a wide circle of friends both online and at the Bookery in Fairborn. Doug enjoyed traveling with his family and spending time with his parents, brother, nephews, and cousins. He loved his cats, Izzy and new kitten Sox dearly. Doug was employed as a Security Guard at Elizabeth Place.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry & Florence "Corkey" Krey; maternal grandparents, William & Delores Singleton and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Doug is survived by his parents; brother, Daniel Adam Krey; nephews, Cameron, Conner and Jameson; aunts and uncles, June & Bill Smith, Mike & Colleen Krey, Thomas and Melody Krey and Peggy LaBonte and many cousins and Molly and Sam.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association in Doug's honor.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a service at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Doug will be inurned at Calvary Cemetery.
