Douglas R. Holmes

Douglas R. Holmes, lovingly called Doug, passed away on April 10, 2022. He was born on October 26, 1966 to the late Robert and Mary Ellen Holmes.
He loved to play golf and watch ball games, whether baseball or football. He was a fan of the Denver Broncos and the OSU Buckeyes. He loved being a father, uncle, and grandpa. If anything needed to be fixed or put together, Doug was the person to call for help. He was always there for his family and anyone that was in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his niece, Carrie Fleming, his nephew, Robert Holmes, and his brother-in-law, Robert Williams.
His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 19 years, Sandra Holmes; step-son David (Naomi) Alexander; granddaughter: Addison Alexander; siblings: Scott (Bev) Holmes, Jeff (Melanie) Holmes, Sue Williams, and Cheri (Timothy Manson) Glanton; his best friends and nephews, Justin and Jason Neal; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 5:00pm.
