Douglas J. Chronaberry

Douglas J. Chronaberry, 74, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024. Loving husband of Phyllis for 48 years, cherished father of Tyler (Jennifer) Chronaberry and Traci (Emilio) Talipan, adored grandfather of Kyra, Kaynen, Luca and Max and cherished brother of Daryl (Susan) Chronaberry. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. 

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Norman Chronaberry and Jean (Eugene) Davis, sister Jerrilyn Kimes and his fur babies Heidi, Bailey and Hershey.

Doug was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 14, 1950. He graduated from Springfield South High School and retired from Navistar after 33 years.

He was an avid car enthusiast, who loved Corvettes and Indy Car Races. His time in retirement was spent meticulously washing and waxing his cars, tinkering around the house, and watching his grandchildren play sports, like flag football and baseball. He had a soft spot for all animals, especially dogs.

Family will be holding a celebration of Doug's life March 15, 2025 from 1 - 4 PM. The address for the event is 1300 Shorthill Dr., Xenia OH 45385. He will be laid to rest at Mount Zion Park Cemetery.

Family would also like to extend a very special thank you to the nursing staff at Kettering Medical Center. Their compassionate care during this difficult time was a source of relief.
