Doug Newman

Newman, Doug, age 66, of Centerville, was given his heavenly wings on April 29, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene & Inez; brother: Bill; sister: Dianne. He is survived by his loving wife: Phyllis; daughters: Shannon Phillips, Heather (Andy) Weisman; grandchildren: Jesse (Tina), Chris (Heather), Anna, Megan, Tim, and Tommy; great granddaughter: Lexi; sisters: Pat Fenner & Kay Bowman; and many loving family members and friends. Doug was a United States Marine Corps Veteran proudly serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Chrysler and was employed by the Kettering Parks Department. A celebration of Doug's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Parkview United Methodist Church (3713 Benner Road, Miamisburg). The family will be receiving friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until time of celebration. A luncheon will immediately follow the services at church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkview United Methodist Church, envelopes will be provided. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel).
