McINTOSH, Dortha Frances, age 87, of Germantown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Kettering Medical Center, Sycamore Campus, Miamisburg, Ohio. Dortha Frances was born in Plummers Landing, Kentucky on October 30, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Mamie Campbell. She married Lester McIntosh on June 18, 1949, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage. She was a charter member of the Miamisburg Wesleyan Methodist Church where she served as Sunday School Secretary for many years and was a member of the Franklin Wesleyan Methodist Church where she was a faithful member serving as Sunday School Secretary for over 25 years as well as serving as Communion Steward. Her recent membership was with the Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death, by her parents, Frank and Mamie Campbell; by her son, William Francis Bobbitt; her husband, Lester McIntosh; two sisters, Cleora Fannin and Eulene Bedwell. She is survived by her sons, David (Nita) McIntosh of Holdenville, OK; Larry (Jeanne) McIntosh of Germantown, OH; and Bobby Joe (Mitzi) McIntosh of Moraine, OH; two sisters, Hattie Lanham of Dayton, OH and Helen Gooding of Moraine, OH; seven grandchildren, Marla Rogers, Regina (Duane) Thomas, Julie (Mike) Southard, Nathan (Sarah) McIntosh, Ashley (Rob) Habedank, Jon McIntosh, and Sara McIntosh; thirteen great-grandchildren, Jessica Rogers, Tricia (Jason) Richardson, Rebecca (Mike) Molloy, Samuel Rogers, Daniel Rogers, Micah Rogers, Seth Thomas, Simon Thomas, Samuel Thomas, Callasandra (Callie) Thomas, Kaitlin Dorothy Southard, Grace McIntosh, Katherine (Katie) McIntosh, Adelyn (Addy) Habedank, and Nolan Habedank; great-great grandchild, Olivia Rogers; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held January 13, 2014, at 9:00-11:00 AM and the funeral at 11:00 AM at Miamisburg First Church of the Nazarene, 1216 Richard Street, Miamisburg, OH. The Reverend Doctor Jeanne McIntosh officiating with interment at Evergreen Cemetery, 401 N. Miami Avenue, West Carrollton, OH. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel).
