Dorothy Ruth Turner, age 75 of West Virginia, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at her daughter's home. She was born May 14, 1945 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the daughter of Robert McGuffin and Pauline Swan.
Dorothy worked as a nurse caring for the elderly at several long term care facilities. She enjoyed quilting, watching birds, enjoying nature and going to garage sales. She was a volunteer naturalist at Blacklick Woods Metro Park. She loved going to Native American Pow Wows. She also enjoyed traveling, especially going to the beach. She loved her family and spending time with them. She was a wonderful mother, grannie, great grannie and sister who will be dearly missed.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Pat Miller, Taryn (William) Hill & Mandy (Theresa) Knaul; grandchildren, Ashley (Brent) Gibson, Steven Lemons, Amber (Ash & Kris) Colburn, Gabby (Tyler) Colburn, Brandon (Danielle) Williams & Robin Miller; great grandchildren, Kelsie Knaul-Lemons, Kollen Lemons, Kyle Lemons, Evie Maki, Ruby Hebblethwaite & Jace Pryor; sister, Jo (Joe) DeBenedictis; nephews, Andrew (Dee Dee) Ward & Chuck (Amber) Ward; sisters-in-law, Belinda (Jeff) Clark & Edie (Pat) Legg; and many other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Knaul; her mother-in-law, Charlotte Rose Knaul; her beloved grand-dog, Laveau; sisters-in-law, Carol Jarrell & Janie Knaul; and many beloved friends.

Dorothy had a celebration of life in 2019 where she was surrounded by her friends and family. It is her request that no services be held at this time.
