Dorothy Louemma Simmons, age 45 of Franklin, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born February 15, 1977 in West Liberty, Kentucky.
Dorothy was known for being crafty and for her love of crystals and unicorns. She loved being out in nature, traveling, and making memories with her family. Although she was hard-headed and outspoken, she was also very loving and friendly. She was a courageous, strong-willed fighter. The most important thing to Dorothy was her family, especially her grandbabies. She will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mother, and mimi.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 29 years, David; children, Alexia Simmons, Kitiara (Eric) Weaver, Arielle Simmons, Davin Simmons; grandchildren, Adina Simmons-Jones, Maximilian Weaver, Elijah Metcalf, Isabel Weaver; and one grandchild on the way; mother-in-law, Norma Simmons; as well as numerous loving relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lotiona Ferguson and father, David Ferguson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). A graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm at Woodhill Cemetery (6228 Hamilton-Middletown Rd., Franklin, OH 45005).
