Dorothy F. Sheard

?Dorothy Faye Sheard (Agnew) , 70, was born on May 31, 1950 to the late John Agnew Sr. and Lillie D. Agnew (Rowe) in Caruthersville Missouri. She departed for her heavenly home on February 28, 2021, in the care of Hospice of Dayton with family by her side.

In her early life she professed her love of God and served as a member of the church choir. She loved to sing as well as sew and draw. Anything crafty, she could do. She had a smile that could be seen from a mile away and brought happiness to any gloomy day. She was a daughter and a sister but most of all she was a doting mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie Agnew, 3 brothers, Freddie Agnew, John Agnew Jr and Jimmie Ray Agnew, and 4 sisters, Goldie Agnew, Juanita Langford, Ernestine Agnew and Mary Francis Agnew.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Lucretia Sheard of Marietta, GA, Anitra (Elijah Woodard) Sheard of Centerville OH, Maranda (Ryan) Ewing of Cape Girardeau, MO, 7 grandchildren, Kainan Woodard, Tamar Sheard, Alexis Woodard, Elijah Woodard, II, Madison Woodard, Isaiah Woodard and Asher Woodard, 5 brothers, Roosevelt Agnew (Caruthersville, OH), Jackie Agnew (Shreveport, LA) Richard Agnew (Anderson, IN), Charles Agnew (Anderson, IN) and William Henry Agnew (Caruthersville, MO) and 1 sister, Addie B. Foreman (Caruthersville, MO) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 1p-2p at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton OH 45459, with funeral services to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Association will be greatly appreciated.

GOD, grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change, the COURAGE to change the things I can and the WISDOM to know the difference.
