Dorothy R Mccardle

Dorothy R. McCardle, age 98, of Dayton, passed away on June 5, 2012. She was born on June 28, 1913 in Muncie, IN. Dorothy was preceded in death by her foster parents, Marion and Evalina Ross; husband, Vernon; two sons, Rex and Glenn; daughter, Vera; brother, Kenneth; and sister, Betty.

Dorothy is survived by her two children, Ross (Gloris) and Eldena Moore; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 24 great great grandchildren; 2 great great great grandchildren; and other family members and good friends from church.

Dorothy was a long time member of Second Church of Christ, Scientist. She lived a life devoted to taking care of her family, especially her niece, Sue Braden and her grandchildren, Thomas Waller and Pennie (Waller) Wical. The family would like to extend a special thank you to, Sandy Demoray and Faye Gray for their loving support.

A visitation will be held on Sunday June 10, 2012 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. A graveside service will take place the following day on Monday June 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Darryl Brown will officiate services.
