Dorothy A. Putnam-Bodendorfer, age 90, formerly of Toledo passed away on March 13, 2024. She was born in Toledo on January 19, 1934 to the late Marion and Luella Cox.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Tim Putnam, Scott (Sherri) Putnam; grandchildren, Jessica (Chad Thornhill) Denham, Taylor (Ben Thieman) Putnam, Josh (Michelle) Putnam, Anna (Adam) Gilbert, Jenna (Chris Wickline) McNeily, Tabitha (David) Cobian; great-grandchildren, Karigan (Mason Dreischarf) Denham, Gage Denham, Alia Thornhill, Tyler Thornhill, Austin Plowman, Kyle Putnam, Caden Putnam, Kinsley Putnam, Bryson Gilbert, Landon Gilbert, Aubrey McNeily, Grayson Wickline, Max Wickline, Enzo Cobian, Octavio Cobian; great-great-granddaughter, Blaire Dreischarf and sister, Judy Riggins; along with many other family and friends.
Dorothy retired from Jamestown Apartment Complex. She was a strong, independent woman who always made sure her sons were taken care of. Dorothy enjoyed watching old movies, going out to dinner, playing cards, listening to Frank Sinatra, watching Jack Nicklaus play golf and caring for the residents at the apartment complex, whether it was good or bad. Dorothy's favorite vacation spot was Clearwater Beach in Florida. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and those who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jerry Wiles to officiate.
