MCDOWELL, Dorothy, age 85,born December 29, 1924 passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Raymond; brother, Roland (Alma) Dolle; sister, Janice (Jack) Buttrey; 2 nephews, Tim (Linda) and Don (Sue) Buttrey; great-nephews and nieces, Joshua, Ryan, Rachel, Brandon and Brianna Buttrey.
Mrs. McDowell served the Dayton school district as a teacher for her entire career. She is also a lifelong member of Bethel Christian Church.
Dorothy will be sorely missed by her loving family and her many friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22 at 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45432). Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service.
